Dg stands for the glucose bolus administered; KxgI is the second-order net elimination rate of glucose per unit of insulin concentration; Kxi is the first order elimination rate of insulin; Tgh is the net difference between glucose production and glucose elimination; Tigmax is the maximal rate of second phase insulin release.
