Biofilm is not formed under the null scenario because the biofilm positive regulators (clusters A and D) are repressed [expression value (ev) = 0] for three negative regulators (clusters C, G and H) [ev = 700]. However, under scenario II, the biofilm machinery is shown to be activated at 4000s.
