This schematic shows the plot of α ₁ versus α ₂ for the two clone model. For the population pairs ($p_1^{\infty },p_2^{\infty }$): both clones will survive in domain I, only one ($p_1^{\infty }$) survives in domain II, only one ($p_2^{\infty }$) survives in domain III, and neither survives in domain IV.
