Pseudomonas agents are red pentagons and intact tight junctions are seen as the purple background, with black background indicating severe barrier disruption. Phosphate depletion in conjunction with inflammation combination resulted in the most severe disruption of barrier function. This finding is consistent with that suggested in prior experimental studies.
